Scent Journer is a Singapore-based perfume brand that has grown from a personal fascination with scent into a successful fragrance business selling thousands of products, including via Sephora’s online platform. Founded by Joyce Lian, the brand traces its roots back to her studies at SP's Diploma in Perfumery and Cosmetic Science, where she learned about raw materials, chemical structures, and formulation. Her time at polytechnic — combined with a long internship in fragrance development — helped her build the deep sensory knowledge and technical skills that would later form the foundation of her own label. After graduating from SP, Joyce went on to complete a Chemistry Degree and later co-founded Scent Journer with partners through an entrepreneurship programme, securing start-up grants to fund the business. The brand focuses on mindfully formulated fragrances made with high-quality and sustainably derived ingredients, designed to be wearable daily without causing discomfort. Each scent undergoes months of research and hand-blending to ensure quality and distinct character. Over the years, Scent Journer has expanded its presence offline through pop-ups and retail partnerships and even begun selling internationally.
