A local youth-led team organised “Cosmobash 2025” at *SCAPE on 21 December, attracting around 750 visitors of all ages to explore astronomy through interactive games, lectures, a photography competition, and a themed marketplace featuring crafts and zines. Originally launched in 2019 by the volunteer group Astronomy.SG, the event is now independently run by a team of about 10 young organisers, led by 25-year-old software engineer Chen Jianjia. Funding comes from multiple sources, including the Young Change Makers Grant, sponsorships, and self-funding. The organisers collaborated with student groups from the Institute of Physics Singapore, the Southeast Asian Youth Network (SEAYAN), and polytechnics including NP and SP to deliver the various activities.
