This Micro-Credential in Human Resource Data Gathering and Analytics is a collaborative endeavour brought to you by Singapore Polytechnic, School of Business in partnership with the Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP). This course equips HR professionals with the essential skills to gather, analyze, and prepare HR data effectively, enabling data-driven decision-making for improved organizational outcomes. Upon successful completion, participants can apply for an IHRP Skills Badge, underscoring their expertise and dedication to advancing the HR field.

This micro-credential is designed for HR professionals seeking to enhance their data competency and leverage data-driven insights to make informed decisions. Whether you are a HR analyst or manager, this program equips you with the skills necessary to harness the power of HR data for strategic advantage.

This course is a 5-week part-time course with lessons conducted in a blended learning mode, including synchronised online lessons (in the evening), self-directed e-Learning, and face-to-face assessment.

Course Objective

The course is designed to provide participants with the concept and principles of HR Analytics. Participants will be able to clean and validate the different data sets collected, and check for outliers or errors which further assess the HR data quality of sources

Course Outline

By the end of the Course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the steps for hypothesis testing, data modelling and analysis.
  • Gather data in a way that maintains its cleanliness.
  • Manage data in a way that maintains the accuracy of data collected.
  • Apply analytics tools and insights to optimise employee cost, increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have at least 1 year of working experience in the area of human resources.

A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate

• Certificate of Completion (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants who pass the assessment and meet at least 75% attendance rate

Application Procedure

1. For self-sponsored applicant, please click on the “Register” button to apply for the course. You will be directed to STEP portal to manage all your course activities. Please note that you will be prompted to sign in with Singpass/Student ID.
 
2. For company-sponsored applicant, please approach your company's Human Resource (HR) team to put in the application through the company portal using CorpPass.  You may only apply after receiving the registration link from your company's HR.
 
3. Your application does not guarantee acceptance into the course. Your acceptance into the course is dependent on meeting the course requirements and course vacancy.
 
4. All successful applicants will be notified with a letter of confirmation via email.
 
6. PACE Academy course schedules, including course trainer, course fees and course availability are subject to change.

7. PACE Academy reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course at short notice; & at its absolute discretion without assigning any reason for such cancellation/postponements.
