Course Objective

This course equips participants with knowledge and skills on Skin Physiology, and efficacy testing for Claims Substantiation.

More Information

Starting with Skin Physiology provides foundational knowledge about how skin functions and responds to various ingredients, crucial for developing effective Personal Care Products. Understanding cosmetic claims and their substantiation follows naturally, as it teaches how to formulate products that legally and truthfully make specific claims about benefits, as well as results. Efficacy testing then allows participants to empirically validate these claims, ensuring products deliver promised outcomes. Finally, the ability to recommend ingredients (based on this knowledge and testing) ensures formulations are both effective and aligned with marketing claims, leading to consumer trust and regulatory compliance. This structured approach ensures a well-rounded expertise in creating and validating high-quality Personal Care Products

This is a Micro-Credential course jointly offered by Singapore Polytechnic and The Cosmetic, Toiletry & Fragrance Association of Singapore (CTFAS).
