This course gives participants a basic understanding of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) capabilities to accounting professionals, providing hands-on skills useful in their day-to-day work related to General Accounting, Financial Accounting and Management Accounting functions. These include Bank reconciliation, budgeting, calculating, and analysing financial ratios.

Participants will learn how to achieve this through synchronous lessons with hands-on sessions on software such as ChatGPT. Instructors can also coach participants with their own Accounting experience, given their common background and point out GenAI's limitations. The Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA)’s whitepaper on AI will be covered, as well. Participants can bring their own relevant use cases in for instructors' guidance.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

1. Apply GenAI on use cases or work scenarios, as discussed in the course.
2. Identify internal processes suitable at work, applicable with GenAI.
3. Develop GenAI prompts for Accounting processes.
