    There is no e-learning involved. This application is open to individuals who are interested to obtain Certificate of Competency (equivalent to a license) after successfully completing the prescribed 2nd Grade Steam Engineer modules/examinations.

Please upload the following required documents in PDF when registering online.
  1. Copy of NRIC/Work Pass (both sides)
  2. Copy of Local Polytechnic Engineering Diploma or Engineering Degree, together with all transcripts, recognised by the Professional Engineers Board Singapore at https://www.peb.gov.sg/Html/pe_approved.html
  3. Copy of Class 1 Boiler Attendant's Certificate of Competency for other Diploma, Non-Diploma and Non-Degree holders
  4. Copies of all attained certificates / COP awarded by Singapore Polytechnic for 2nd Grade Steam Engineer
  5. Employer Testimonials stating 12 months relevant working experience assisting in operational charge of a steam engine or steam boiler whose heating surface is at least 200 square metres. Please download the form here

  • Applications without ALL the above required documents will be considered incomplete and rejected. Singapore Polytechnic regrets that we will not be able to inform applicants of the incomplete documentation.
  • Complete applications will be processed within 4-6 weeks and you will be notified on the application outcome status via email.
