What You Will Learn

Upon completing the course, participants will acquire the essential knowledge & core skills in the area of drafting & design. Participants will appreciate the simplistic and yet efficient use of AutoCAD.

By end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1.  Apply AutoCAD 2020* workspace and user interface.
  2. Use drawing, editing, constructing technique and viewing tools.
  3. Organise and getting information from drawing objects.
  4. Insert reusable symbols (blocks).
  5. Set layers, styles, and templates up.
  6. Prepare a layout to be plotted.
  7. Add text, hatching, and dimensions.
  8. 3D view techniques and working with User Coordinate system.
  9. Create and editing 3D solid model.
  10. Rendering the 3D model to enhance its appearance.
  11. Generating 2D drawings from the 3D Model.

More Information

AutoCAD is a Computer-Aided Design software developed by the company Autodesk (hence the name AutoCAD). It allows you to draw and edit digital 2D and 3D designs more quickly and easily than you could by manual drawing.  It allows a user to conceptualise ideas, product designs and drawings to the required level of technical accuracy.
