What You Will Learn

This hands on course equips manufacturing professionals with practical automation skills for daily work processes.

Low-code applications and workflows, built with standard Microsoft 365 (Office 365) tools, and Power Automate are taught to streamline approvals, reporting, handovers, and escalations by integrating SharePoint, Teams, Forms, Excel, and Outlook without needing premium connectors or additional licensing. Through real manufacturing use cases, participants will design secure, scalable, and governed automation solutions for production, quality, and safety environments deployable within just weeks.

Designed for engineers, supervisors, operations and quality personnel, it focuses on maximising existing Microsoft 365 licenses' values while supporting sustainable, cost effective digitalisation.

By end of this course, participants will be able to:
  1. Improve or automate common manufacturing processes using Microsoft 365, Power Automate, or its equivalent.
  2. Build simple automated workflows with Power Automate standard connectors to streamline approvals, reporting, alerts, and data collection.
  3. Digitalise manual forms, track operational information and automate communications using Microsoft 365 applications (SharePoint, Teams, Forms, Excel, Outlook).
  4. Apply basic workflow logic—including triggers, conditions, notifications, and approvals—to develop practical automation solutions.
  5. Review flow runs, identify errors, and improve efficiency over time to troubleshoot automated workflows.
  6. Evaluate basic security and governance practices to ensure automations are reliable, safe, and aligned with organisational policies.
  7. Support digital transformation initiatives by using low‑code tools to reduce manual work, improve data accuracy, and enhance productivity across operations.
