Course Objective

Upgrade your accounting skills for a digital-first economy!

As organisations continue to evolve in a digital and data-driven economy, there is growing demand for skilled professionals with strong accounting, finance, and business analysis capabilities.

Through this Diploma in Business Practice (Accounting), you will gain practical skills in financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, taxation, budgeting, accounting analytics tools such as Power BI and Generative AI applications, and more.

Academic Progression and Pathways

Singapore Institute of Technology

AY25/26 and earlier cohort participants who score the minimum grade in the following modules will be eligible for credit exemptions towards selected SIT undergraduate programmes:

  • BA8008 Cost and Management Accounting + BA8009 Accounting + BA4133 Financial Management (all three modules are required; minimum grade: B in each module) – Exemption from BUS1001 Business Accounting (6 CU) for the following SIT programmes:
    • Bachelor of Business with Honours in Accountancy
    • Bachelor of Business with Honours in Aviation Management
    • Bachelor of Business with Honours in Communication and Digital Media
    • Bachelor of Business with Honours in Hospitality and Tourism Management
    • Bachelor of Integrated Studies with Honours in Business and Infocomm Technology
    • Bachelor of Science with Honours in Digital Supply Chain
  • BA4112 Basic Economics (minimum grade: B) – Exemption from BUS1002 Business Economics (6 CU) for the following SIT programmes:
    • Bachelor of Business with Honours in Accountancy
    • Bachelor of Business with Honours in Aviation Management
    • Bachelor of Business with Honours in Communication and Digital Media
    • Bachelor of Business with Honours in Hospitality and Tourism Management
    • Bachelor of Integrated Studies with Honours in Business and Infocomm Technology
  • BA4133 Financial Management (minimum grade: B+) – Exemption from BUS1101 Financial Management (6 CU) for:
    • Bachelor of Business with Honours in Accountancy

Get potential exemptions that amount to 12 Credit Units (CU) out of 180 CU for degree completion (where applicable).
