Course Objective

This Diploma is tailored for working adults seeking a broad-based business education with a focus on human capital.

The Diploma covers essential business functions, communication, IT, and problem-solving skills, equipping participants with the competencies needed to advance their careers. It prepares participants to contribute effectively to both SMEs and larger organisations across the private and public sectors.

The course objectives are:

Broad-Based Business Education: Provide a solid foundation in core business principles and practices.
Career Advancement: Build practical skills to support professional growth and development.
Industry Relevance: Equip participants to meet current and emerging needs in the human resource and business landscape, especially within SMEs and larger enterprises.

More Information

The course is a 2.5 years Part-Time programme. It consists of 5 Modular Certificates (MC) conducted over 5 semesters, 1 MC per semester. The first MC to start with is MC1. The first 2 MC courses provide students with a broad based knowledge in business. Thereafter, the students will progress to MC 4 and 5 which are more specialised in human resource. The classes are conducted in the evening. Each MC comprises of a few modules and the details are as follows:

Upon completion of five Certificates within a five-year validity period, the participant will be conferred a Diploma qualification from Singapore Polytechnic.
