Course Objective

This Part-Time Diploma in Engineering (Microelectronics & Semiconductor Technology) focuses on the principles and applications of microelectronics and semiconductor technology that is applied in the areas of Integrated Circuit (IC) design, wafer fabrication and testing.

It equips current electronics technicians, assistant engineers, or participants with equivalent roles with the knowledge and skills required to undertake new roles that include microelectronics process engineer, semiconductor device engineer, test and validation engineer, and quality engineer in the semiconductor and consumer electronics industries.

This course is a 2.5 years part-time programme. It consists of 5 Modular Certificates (MC) conducted over 5 semesters, 1 MC per semester. The first MC to start with is MC1. Classes are conducted in the evening.
