Course Objective

The course aims providing the skills and knowledge to manage the operation and safety of High Voltage (HV) Installations onboard. (ref Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers [STCW] 2010 Table A-III/2 and B-III/2) to Marine Engineer Officers, at Management-Level,. It gives participants understanding of:
  1. Electric Propulsion and Control System principles and concepts, used on Marine vessels and Offshore installations
  2. Risks Management in High Voltage
  3. Safe protection gears available and how to properly use them
  4. Safety procedures and Management in HV operation and maintenance
