Course Objective
This course introduces participants to basic concepts of Blockchain Technology and its ecosystem including business models. Being an emerging area in the financial sector, Blockchain technology is set to revolutionise financial industries across the globe for public and financial intermediaries alike. Participants will learn how data are shared in a transparent and effective manner within a Blockchain. In addition, participants will learn how digital records are secured in Blockchain. They will understand how decentralised, distributed public digital ledgers are used to record transactions across multiple systems while preventing fraud and criminal misappropriation.
This course aims to equip participants with a strong fundamental knowledge on Blockchain technology and educate them on the underlying mechanisms that make up a blockchain. Participants will also be familiarised with certain cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin to augment their understanding of Blockchain Technology.
