Course Objective
Important Note
This is a Mandatory Theory Test (MTT) as prescribed under the Active Mobility Act 2017 and Road Traffic Act 1961 in relation to the proper use of an electric scooter (“e-scooter”) and/or power-assisted bicycle (“PAB”).
Applicants must be at least 16 years old to register. Results and the Mandatory Theory Test (MTT) certificate will be invalid, if you are found under the legal age.
When registering, please ensure that you select the correct test you wish to take (either E-Scooter or Power-Assisted Bicycle) and your preferred language. Once registration is confirmed, no withdrawal, cancellation, change of date, time slot or test type is allowed. Fees paid are not refundable.
Applicants, who already passed the exam, are NOT required to retake it.
More Information
The Theory Test for Electric-Scooter has 30 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) and has to be completed within 30 minutes.
To pass the test you need to get at least 24 correct answers.
The ES Theory Test consist of questions from 3 modules. They are:
- Module 1: General Information on Active Mobility Devices in Singapore (Same as for ES and PAB)
- Module 2: Pre-journey and Equipment Check by E-scooter Riders
- Module 3: Rules and Code of Conduct for Using an E-scooter

Please note that Singpass is required to take the test. Therefore, please register with your NRIC or FIN Number. Do not register with your Passport Number. Upon registration, you will only be able to take the test in the next few days. Please check your inbox and all other folders (including spam/junk mail).
