Course Objective
This course aims broadening participants' knowledge on polymers, industrial and real-world applications. Experiments are designed emphasising on skillsets reinforcing concepts for co-relating material structures to their properties, affecting selection of appropriate materials for applications in different industries.
More Information
Covered topics include fundamental Polymer Chemistry theories (including protein concepts, molecular structure, and property relations), Manufacturing, Processing, Example Applications, Future Development trends and lastly, Recycling of Polymeric materials. This is a platform upgrading knowledge and processing skills of personnel working in Material-related fields meeting Singapore industry needs. Hands-on laboratory sessions will also be conducted, exploring properties and polymerisation processes of selected polymer materials. Instructors with relevant industrial, research, and teaching experiences will conduct this course, letting participants gain a better understanding on the topics.
