What You Will Learn

This course aims to equip participants with key chemical manufacturing fundamentals required in the industry to function as a process technician.

It covers the general guidelines for commissioning and decommissioning process equipment.

Principles of safe system of work such as permit-to-work system, isolation procedures and Lockout-Tagout (LOTO); as well as the types of safety barriers, notices and signages used for preparing work areas are included in this course.

By end of this course, participants will be able to:
  1. Describe for decommissioning and commissioning process equipment guidelines.
  2. Apply Safe System of Work (SSoW) procedures to ensure work activities are safely performed.
  3. Use appropriate safety barriers, notices and signages for work areas.
