Course Objective

The course aims to enhance the written and oral communication skills of participants as such soft skills are crucial to all organisations.

The course is also designed with the intent to boost the professional image of participants by helping them ensure their communication modes are clear, appealing and succinct to their stakeholders.

This course improves participants’ report writing, email and presentation skills so as to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, and boost the professional image of self and the organisation/company.

Course Outline

Report and Email Writing Skills

1. Identify the needs of different audiences according to the purpose, audience and context 
2. Plan, organize and present information in the form of text, data and visuals in well-structured formats
3. Apply the skills of presenting relevant information to write effectively
4. Eliminate redundancies in content and refine language choices to present information concisely
5. Apply grammar editing skills to eliminate common errors
6. Apply proofreading skills to edit the entire report for greater clarity

Presentation Skills
7. Hone their skills in drafting presentations 
8. Apply persuasion techniques for a more persuasive delivery
9. Incorporate evidence and visuals for greater credibility
10. Avoid pitfalls in pronunciation and word choice for more effective presentations

Minimum Requirements

A good grasp of the English Language and a pass in ‘O’ Level English

Certification / Accreditation

• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate

c) For payment via PayNow, please enter the UEN No. T08GB0056ACET and indicate the invoice/registration number. 

*With effect from 1 August 2021, cheque payment will not be available.
