Course Objective

The Diploma in Logistics aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the functions and activities. The course takes on an interactive hands-on approach to learning with emphasis on analysis using Excel, use of software tools and presentation skills. Learning will be in a hybrid form of classroom and online format with frequent interactions with your instructors who will closely support your learning process.

The Diploma in Logistics consists of 5 core modules covering Global Supply Chain Management, Strategic Procurement, Logistics Quality Management, Logistics Project Management and Supply Chain Process Improvement. These modules will equip participants with skills to understand and coordinate the end-to-end supply chain processes from source to market, manage supply chain processes for quality outcomes, plan and manage projects and identity and ideate supply chain process improvements. 

In addition to the 5 core modules, participants will select either the Warehouse Track or the Freight Management Track to complete the Diploma in Logistics course:
- The Freight Management Track consists of the following 5 modules: Air Freight Operations, Sea Freight Operations, Transport Operations, Omni Channel Distribution and International Trade Operations.
- The Warehouse Management Track consists of the following 5 modules: Warehouse Cost Optimization, Warehouse Operations, Warehouse Performance Measurement, Logistics Solutioning and Dangerous Goods Management

Minimum Requirements

  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Direct or indirect experience in one of more aspects of logistics will be useful: purchasing, sales, freight, warehouse, delivery, customer service etc
  • Basic computers skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint

Certification / Accreditation

Upon completion participants will be awarded the SF Diploma in Logistics, consisting of ten (10) Statement of Attainment (SOA)s, if they achieved minimum of 75% attendance rate as well as certified competent on all assessments required by all the modules within the course period.

Upon completion of the SF Diploma in Logistics (Freight or Warehouse Management track), depending on individual’s requirement, they can further complete the other track and receive the corresponding five (5) SOAs from SSG in accordance to the Competency Standard approved and endorsed by SSG recognised by the industry.

SF Diploma in Logistics graduates can apply for Singapore Polytechnic's Diploma (Conversion) in Supply Chain Management & Innovation

Suitable for

This course aims to train participants for logistics industry. The curriculum is designed with a good blending of theory and industry practice for effective roles as Buyer, Material Planner, Distribution and Freight Forwarders, Warehouse Management Coordinators or Supervisor, Project Planners and Co-ordinators.
