Minister for Communications and Information Josephine Teo said that more than 3,000 Singaporeans have been trained in 5G mobile technology skills in the last year, which is faster than expected. Speaking at the annual Regional Industry Networking Conference (RINC) 2021 yesterday at SP, she added that Singapore is pushing ahead with its 5G roll-out and that these trained 3,000 locals will help to develop a vibrant 5G ecosystem. The Singapore 5G and Telecoms Academy, which was set up in November last year and led by SP and National University of Singapore, will continue to provide 5G training for IHLs, telcos and other industry partners. Similar news were reported in 8world, Channel NewsAsia, Lianhe Zaobao and Berita Harian.
