70 pioneers honoured for contributions to design sector

Channel News Asia, 20 Oct 2015 - Seventy pioneers from the design sector were honoured for their contributions towards Singapore's development at the Design Golden Jubilee Award Ceremony. The awards commemorated the nation’s 50th birthday and was organised by DesignSingapore Council. Among the winners was architect Alfred Wong who worked on some major projects, including SP. Alfred mentioned that the SP project was memorable as his designs had to anchor a Boeing jet engine while keeping the structure sound-proof.
