Amazing machines take flight at competition

CyberPioneer, 21 Mar 2015 - A team of five SP Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering graduates, beat 29 other teams to come in first in the unconventional aircraft category at the recent Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition. The remote-controlled plane they built can take off and land vertically, without first taxiing on a runway. Their plane also won the 1800-metre flight race, with a timing of 150 seconds, and the freestyle performance competition. The graduates who are also members of SP’s aviation club are Mr Jonas Hii, Mr Bryan Lim, Muhd Hazim, Mr Ho Cheng Wei and Mr Gavin Lim.
