Aspiring to be a mechanical engineering lecturer

Berita Harian, 4 May 2015 - Full page article featured four SP graduates who have overcome various challenges to do well in their course. One of the graduates, Mr Muhammad Farhan Che 'Adnan, is from the Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Farhan shares how he was always inspired to be an engineer due to the encouragement of his secondary school teacher, who saw his passion for Math and Physics. Despite completing his ‘A’ levels, he could not read for a degree in Mechanical Engineering due to his bad grades. He decided to enrol in SP after his National Service (NS) to pursue his dreams of becoming an engineer. He was also exposed to voluntary work during NS and was further motivated to become an educator as he saw how he could touch lives through education. After graduation, Farhan will begin his studies in Mechanical Engineering at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Farhan hopes to return to SP as a lecturer to inspire future generations as he has reaped the benefits of a poly education which could not be replicated elsewhere.
