Chasing the global dream, one ang ku kueh at a time

The Straits Times, 14 Oct 2014 - Editorial series by Spring Singapore looks at how companies have taken advantage of government schemes to incorporate technology and innovation into their business. One business that was featured is D’Cake, which sells local cakes and confectionery including ang ku kueh. The owner of D’Cake worked with SP’s FIRC to revamp the recipe of his flagship ang ku kueh and to introduce a new packaging technology that allows the shelf life of ang ku kueh to be extended to five days from the original 24 hours. FIRC took two years to refine the ang ku kueh recipe to make it less oily and sticky.
