The Sunday Times, 18 Sep 2016 - Editorial by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) featured the finalists of the LTA Engineering Challenge. Among the finalists are two teams from SP. A team of students from SP’s Diploma in Aerospace Electronics have come up with a prototype of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle to conduct track inspections in long and deep MRT tunnels. Another team of students from SP’s School of Architecture and the Built Environment has developed a computer model to show how MRT trains can be extended to ease crowd congestion during peak hours.
