From street soccer to grassroots work

26 Oct 2015

The Sunday Times, 25 Oct 2015 - Weekly column on individuals who have found success after overcoming various challenges featured grassroots worker Mr Ang Thiam Hock. Mr Ang was a lab technician at NP before competing his part-time diploma in electrical and electronic engineering at SP. Along the way he did well enough to be admitted into NTU and rode the dot.com wave after graduation, where he first joined Microsoft and then Netscape. After 17 years in the regional tech industry, he quit the job for personal reasons before finding his calling to give back to the community.
