Going out of her comfort zone

Berita Harian, 31 Aug 2014 - Article profiled some of the 35 outstanding Malay university students mentioned by PM Lee during his National Day Rally. SP’s Diploma in Biomedical Science graduate, Ms Fauziah Ally, shared how she took the brave step of enrolling for her diploma despite not studying biology in secondary school. She mentioned the challenges she faced and how she worked harder than others in order to understand her lessons. Fauziah went on to read biology in NTU and graduated with a Bachelor of Science with first class honours. She is currently a research officer at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IMCB), an institute under the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A * STAR).
