He wants to help diabetics walk better

The New Paper, 20 Aug 2014 - SP Diploma in Business Administration student Tay Jing Han who suffers from Type 1 diabetes, was awarded the Lee Kuan Yew Award for Outstanding Normal Course Students. Despite his issues, he resolved to become an entrepreneur, making sport shoes for diabetics like him. When Jing Han was in primary school,he spent his time playing basketball and lazing around, which landed him with a dismal score of 186 for his PSLE. After enrolling into Jurong Secondary School in the Normal (Academic”) stream, he worked hard after realizing the hard work his parents went through to care for him. He scored a L1R4 of seven for his GCE “O” Levels subsequently. He was mentioned by Ho Peng, who is the Director General of Education in Ministry of Education, for his steely resolve.
