His ‘disability’ helps him excel in mathematics

The New Paper, 3 May 2016 - Article featured SP’s Diploma in Aerospace Electronics graduand Lionel Lee, who has Asperger’s syndrome, a high-functioning form of autism. With his condition, Lionel has problems interacting with others. However, his condition was also instrumental in growing his passion for mathematics as it helped him to focus specifically on details. Lionel, who was recently accepted into Nanyang Technological University’s Mathematics Sciences course, shared how he hopes to get a PhD and prove a Mathematical theory in the future.
