How should UAVs be regulated? Experts weigh in

Channel News Asia – Singapore Tonight - As the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) takes off rapidly in Singapore - both for recreation and commercial purposes - the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) is reviewing the regulatory framework for unmanned aircraft and their operations here. SP’s Course Chair for Aeronautical Engineering, Mr Liew Hui Sing, opined on some of the rules or certification that CAAS might implement in the new framework. Mr Liew also commented on various scenarios that the CAAS might want to look at as part of the review. Clips of UAVs built by SP were also featured in the news story.
