The Straits Times, 20 Aug 2015 - SP’s Diploma in Biomedical Science graduate, Ahmad Abdurrahman Hanifah Marican, was featured for being one of two winners of this year’s Berita Harian Inspiring Young Achiever Award. Ahmad made history earlier this year by becoming one of the first two students from local madrasahs to be offered a place in a Singapore medical school. The annual award is organised by Singapore Press Holdings’ Malay daily and honours Malay/Muslims individuals and organisations for their achievements in their chosen field. Similar article in Berita Harian featured Ahmad’s thoughts on becoming a role model for his juniors and mentioned that he graduated from SP with a GPA of 3.94. A TP biomedical science graduate was also featured as the other recipient of the award. Similar story was reported in myPaper and The New Paper.
