Moment of near-failure spurred him to succeed

08 Jun 2016

The Straits Times, 8 Jun 2016 - Article featured SP’s Diploma in Biomedical Sciences alumnus Ridhwan Muzaki who will be graduating from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) with a biological sciences honours degree in August. Ridhwan overcame a challenging childhood to become the top N-level Malay student in 2005 before enrolling in SP. In 2010, his application to NTU's School of Biological Sciences was rejected, but he did not give up. He applied again the following year and got into his dream course. By pushing himself to work harder than his peers, Ridhwan became a three-time Dean’s lister and a scholarship recipient. NTU has also offered him a postgraduate scholarship in recognition of his efforts and success.
