National Day Rally 2014: Plucky top students lauded by PM Lee

The Straits Times, 18 August 2014 - SP’s Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering graduate, Mr Divesh Singaraju and SP’s Diploma in Infocomm Security Management student, Mr William Tay, were cited by PM Lee during his National Day Rally last night as examples of men with great character and resolve. Divesh battled cancer twice and despite being behind his peers by a year due to chemotherapy sessions, he emerged as one of SP’s top graduates this year and will go on to study aeronautical engineering at the Imperial College London on a scholarship. William lost his hearing due to an illness when he was four and while in ITE, he joined the photography club and a dragon boat racing team with others who have similar hearing disabilities.
