New jobs, new skills

The Sunday Times - Life!, 15 Nov 2015 - Article featured jobs such as a search engine optimisation specialist and social media analysts which did not exist 15 years ago. The social media marketing module in SP’s Diploma in Business Information Technology as well as the new social media listening centre were mentioned as examples of how polys are equipping graduates with the skills to take on these new jobs. NP’s digital media communications specialisation option under its diploma in mass communication as well as NYP’s new courses in areas such as cyber security, Internet and cloud computing and mobile computing were also mentioned as examples. NYP’s Director of the School of Information Technology mentioned how the poly is keeping abreast of changing industry landscape to address future industry needs.
