Pioneer batch receives Singapore’s first power sector scholarship

On-issue 12, October 2014 - On, a magazine published by the Energy Market Authority featured Noor Nashriyah Binte Jalil and Teo Wen Xuan from the Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The duo were amongst four students to receive Singapore’s first dedicated scholarship for the power sector, the Energy-Industry scholarship (EIS). The EIS aims to develop and nurture talent for the power sector, which is critical to powering Singapore’s economy and daily lives. Wen Xuan mentioned how the scholarship secured him a job after graduation while Nashriyah hopes to prove that women can carry out engineering jobs as well as, or even better than men.
