15 Sep 2014

ChannelNewsAsia.com, 14 Sep 2014 - Local polytechnics are set to play a larger role in the support of Continuing Education and Training (CET) framework, with the announcement of the review of the 10-year CET masterplan. The major review as initiated to keep pace with economic changes in the country. Currently, all five local polytechnics, including SP, offers CET courses for adult learning, ranging from part-time diploma courses, to executive short courses and conversion programmes. Most of the programmes are modular, which are shorter in duration and students will have a longer time to complete their studies. SP will continue to reach out to upgraders and providing students with good student support in the area, and will be working with the Workforce Development Agency in offering place-and-train programmes, when the programmes are rolled out in 2016.
