The Straits Times, 30 Sep 2015 - Article featured SP’s fourth solar car, SunSPEC4, which will be Singapore’s sole entry in the 3,000 km World Solar Challenge in Australia next month. SunSPEC4 was conceptualized and built entirely by students and staff from the schools of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering. With support from their sponsor, Singapore Power, the team rallied and managed to rebuild the car within a month. Singapore Power is also sponsoring $1 million to allow the team to take part in the next two editions of the World Solar Challenge.
