SP’s Purrapy event

Lianhe Zaobao, 28 June 2017 - Video featured SP’s first ever cat therapy, Purrapy. Department of Student Development and Alumni Relations manager Johnny Ong opined that bringing these community cats and students together will help reduce the stereotypical views that community cats are dangerous and also help reduce stress levels among the student population. Diploma in Food Science & Technology student Stephanie Xie and Diploma in Optometry student Loh Wee Han opined on how the cats reduce their stress levels while raising awareness on animal welfare. The video also mentioned that besides Purrapy, the Distraction event also has games and leisure activities for students to engage in.
