S’pore Poly students’ ideas set for takeoff with Boeing

The Straits Times, 6 Jan 2016 - Article noted how SP was the first educational institute in Singapore to work with Boeing to patent three inventions to increase safety and productivity. SP’s Diploma in Mechanical Engineering graduate Dexter Tan opined that working on the patent gave him a glimpse of the aviation engineering industry and broadened his perspective through working with Boeing’s management and staff. SP’s principal and chief executive Tan Choon Shian opined that students will hone their technical and soft skills through authentic and multi-disciplinary projects, and be ready to develop and deliver real-world solutions in their respective fields after they graduate.
