Sunlight hurts her due to rare condition, but her love for the ocean leads her to maritime industry

Her condition is such that she cannot be exposed to sunlight, which can result in skin rash or internal organ swelling and damage. In spite of her condition, Hwee Leng loves the ocean so much that she has decided to pursue her passion and work in the maritime industry. She shared how she is looking to work onshore to escape the worst of the sun’s rays.
