S’pore Poly students launch mobile app

The Straits Times, 2 Jan 2017 - A team of students from SP’s Diploma in Business Information Technology course has launched a new mobile app called LocatLor! On the Google Play Store. Besides showing photographs of locations, the app also provides technical data (in exchangeable image file format or Exif), so amateur photographers can try to re-create images that more proficient photographers have shared. The app is the first to be funded under SP’s SPiNOFF entrepreneurship programme, which sees the poly collaborating with seed capital and start-up incubator firm Spaze Ventures. As part of the programme, Spaze Ventures picked the app to receive funding of up to $50,000 as well as mentorship.
