Training centre for pre-school teachers

The Straits Times, 13 August 2014 - Philanthropic organisation Lien foundation is putting $660,000 into Singapore’s first dedicated centre to allow trainee pre-school teachers to get hands-on experience. At the centre, ‘mentor supervisors’ focus on guiding teachers to come up with lessons plan or manage the children. The centre can take in up to 300 trainee teachers each year and since April, 15 trainees from various institutions offering early childhood courses such as NP and SP have gone through the programme.
