Young women turning the tide to show off sea legs

The Straits Times, 14 Aug 2015 - SP’s Diploma in Marine Engineering graduate, Lim Pio Teo, was featured as one of the few women working in the male-dominated maritime industry. Ms Lim shared her experience as a second engineering with global shipping company APL as well as her aspirations. The industry is keen to boost the number of female seafarers and change the common mindset that women are not suitable to be out at sea for months with a predominantly male crew.
