The Government has announced 1,000 training and attachment opportunities in the maritime industry for recent graduates and mid-career individuals under the SGUnited Skills (SGUS) programmes. One individual who has secured a spot in SP’s SGUS maritime business management programme is 67 year-old Francis Chew. Francis had worked for various Food & Beverage (F&B) establishments, including Mcdonald’s over a 40 year career. When Covid-19 hit the F&B industry, Francis decided to explore the maritime industry. He shared how SP’s course will help him tap on growth opportunities in the maritime industry. Similar story was reported in all SPH Newspapers and Mediacorp platforms.
