Autism did not stop student from entering the field of engineering

Article featured SP’s Aerospace Electronics student, Muhammad Shaaban Hashem Ibrahim Sawalim, who was diagnosed with mild autism in secondary school. Despite his condition, Muhammad is motivated to study hard in order to pursue a career in the field of engineering. Muhammad has been actively participating in programmes and workshops organised by SP’s Special Education Needs (SEN) Centre, where he is able to pick up social interaction and life skills which will prepare him for his internship.
