SP, Singapore’s first polytechnic, will celebrate its 70th anniversary this year. In this interview, SP Principal and CEO Soh Wai Wah shared what SP has done over the past 70 years, what they hope to achieve, and the challenges they might encounter due to the evolving and dynamic nature of students and globalisation. Principal Soh shared that he is proud of the commitment that his staff has shown in transforming, especially in the aspect of adult education. SP is also committed to being environmentally friendly and aims to reach net zero carbon emission on campus before 2045. SP is launched a book to commemorate the 70th anniversary, which featured Senior Manager at SP's Department of Industry & Partnerships, Fang Zhijie, and the history of how the school has changed and evolved over the years.
