EDB collaborates with the Polytechnics

The EDB has partnered with Temasek Polytechnic and Ngee Ann Polytechnic to establish a new Centre of Innovation for robotics and automation in the built environment.
Ngee Ann Polytechnic's technical expertise in service robotics and autonomous machinery, as well as Temasek Polytechnic's capabilities in hardware and software technologies, will provide comprehensive support for the development and deployment of robotics and automation projects. In addition, the support of the Innovation Center for the food manufacturing industry will be expanded to include market testing, extended shelf life and exportability. Local food manufacturers will be able to leverage the latest market trends and consumer insights on topics such as sustainability to deepen their in-house innovation capabilities and develop new or improved food products. With the support of Singapore Polytechnic, Nanyang Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic and Temasek Polytechnic, the Innovation Centre for Food Manufacturing will provide innovative resources and expertise in areas ranging from growing meat and alternative proteins, functional beverages and nutrition, to enhancing the value of food.
