New plastic bag is 97% recyclable

Local manufacturer, Tobe Packaging, has introduced a plastic packaging that is 97% recyclable. Although there are few users of the new packaging, they hope to encourage more customers to choose sustainable packaging through the newly launched manual. Enterprise Singapore, RP, and SP jointly organised a seminar this morning to start the journey of sustainable development in food manufacturing and launched the Sustainability Playbook for Food Manufacturers, which is aimed at helping merchants move towards green management and production. Researchers from RP have also come up with a way to make plant-based fishballs using okara. The idea originated with the intention to prevent overfishing that could affect the marine ecosystem.
