S'pore Poly marks 70th anniversary with music festival

25 Mar 2024

The Band Cats Among Us captivated the audience with their electrifying performance at the SP’s 70th Anniversary Music Festival. Held in the polytechnic's multi-purpose hall on 8 March, the event offered a vibrant atmosphere filled with carnival booths, student club performances, and showcases by local artistes. Aligned with the theme of "Youths for a Cause," the festival organisers partnered with organisations like the Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH) to champion important social issues. They rallied students to support causes like mental wellness among young people and sustainability. SP's commitment to fostering positive change was further solidified by the signing of three MOUs at the event. An SP spokesperson elaborated that these MOUs would provide SP students with more internship prospects and relevant industry collaborations. This will allow for a wider range of learning opportunities, better preparing students for their future careers. By partnering with these organisations, SP is not only enhancing its students' educational experience but also demonstrating its dedication to social responsibility.
