Article featured the Specialist Diploma in Building Information Modelling (BIM) Management course offered by SP under the SGUnited Skills programme. Minister for Education, Mr Lawrence Wong, visited one of the classes yesterday. He toured the facilities and observed how students used a computer programme to design a building. 31-year-old student, Lai Wanxing commented that she was glad to have found the course as she was facing difficulties in job hunting after leaving her old company in February. She tried self-learning through online courses but nothing beats physical classes which allowed her to have hands-on training and the opportunity to consult lecturers face-to-face. She also shared that the course fees were very affordable, costing only $1,000 for a one year course and that there are many financial aid programmes available. (Lianhe Zaobao, p3)
