She pulled her ADHD son out in Primary 3 because ‘school meant punishment’

Article featured SP Diploma in Engineering with Business student Chong Ing Kai, who shared how his attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) condition affected him negatively during primary school. With support from his parents, who gave him time and space to explore his interests, Ing Kai is now the founder of Stick’Em, which creates affordable Stem (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) kits for kids to use chopsticks to build robots. He is also an associate of the Philip Yeo Initiative, a ground-up movement administered by the National University of Singapore that develops young talent.
